What all these contributions have in common is - in keeping with Nick Sekunda's own interests - a broadly defined military theme, in conjunction with political history and texts or artifacts (works of art) related to war. Then warfare is the main, binding link between all the texts contained in the volume, presenting analyses whose authors, while considering various 'case studies', touch upon the theme of war in ancient cultures.
